How do you get mast sections apart

Does anyone have any hints on how to get two ultra carbon mast sections (ie bottom two) apart that have jammed together.

Mr brainwave decided it would be a good idea to spray paint the inside with colour so we know who belong to which mast but some dribbled out and made the sections jam. Is there anything is particular we can pour in it ie metho, kero, nail polish remover that wont damage the ultra carbon??
